Notes on Chat with Helpers It looks like my helpers are starting to receive the presents I passed on to them. That's good, because I can't make heads or tails of the thing. I'm sure there's a secret in Wylie's will. My helpers spotted something right away: there numbers on Wylie's will and the "official" obituary and the fact sheet on the other side of the will don't add up. I never would have caught that. I think they are going to ask the antiques dealer about it. Consensus seems to be that the will is legit, but the discrepancies are important. They suspect Samuel of hiding the Wylie treasure. Niko says that Samuel wrote the following through the website connection: "I fear it is happening again. The greed and the fire. Tell them all, tell them all to find new places, new lives to lead. They won't listen to me, but they may listen to you." Sam is definitely concerned about something. My helpers then put forth the idea that Jack is a treasure hunter. It's only a small step from antiquer to treasure hunter, so I believe it. Next, one of them reminded me that I'd spoken to Stanley earlier. Lahmina often goes to the cemetery and looks at the tombstone of one "Cathy Miller" After that, I decided to tell them about an idea I had earlier. I believe that this case needs a little pro-active detective work. It's time to set a trap. If there's someone out there looking for something, we might be able to convince them that it's somewhere else, and we can grab him when he or she shows up. A few ideas were floated out, such as planting false documents, telling these gossipy spooks that we know where the treasure really is and hoping one of them tells the assailant (if they even have access to the man or woman that did it), or letting Madame Z's natural theatrics come into play and plant some "evidence" during a trumped-up séance. I had to go, then, and asked them to give me ideas by Tuesday morning. That's when I'll put our plan into action, and then hopefully by Friday we'll have this treasure-hunter caught! If you're reading this, helpers, email me any ideas you might have.
